Serendipity3’s First-Ever Boozy Float Has An Unexpected Twist – Tasting Table

The ice cream float Serendipity3 is serving isn’t the basic recipe you remember from childhood. The very first ice cream soda, as recorded by The Nibble, was a spoonful of vanilla ice cream added to soda water. According to a press release shared with Tasting Table, Serendipity3 is adding ice cream to booze for Father’s Day weekend. But not just any booze, or even a super fancy one — the NYC restaurant known for gold crowned desserts is using Bud Light Seltzer in its new float, which could very well cause a buzz.

“We are excited to debut the restaurant’s first boozy float, which incorporates Bud Light Seltzer, a brand that is all about bold flavor, and the iconic Birthday Cake flavor from our ice cream line,” says Calderone. First, Cherry Cola-flavored Bud Light Seltzer Hard Soda is poured over two scoops of Serendipity’s Birthday Cake ice cream. Then, the Spiked Cherry Cola Ice Cream Float is topped with more ice cream, whipped cream, and, of course, a cherry. The unique pairing is available to customers aged 21 years and older and will be served from June 16 until June 19 at the restaurant’s 225 East 60th Street Manhattan location. Cheers!
